The Medical Image Resource Centre (MIRC) scheme is intended to be an open platform for sharing radiological Electronic Teaching Files online.
We have deveoped and set up a National MIRC Server that receives contributions from hospitals as well as individual radiologists.
By using our software systems, MIRC-compliant electronic Teaching Files created using PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and personal medical image collections could be uploaded onto the world wide web.
This National MIRC Server is linked to the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) MIRC portal.
Our solution enables a broad spectrum of radiologists, including academicians from large teaching hospitals, as well as individuals to participate in MIRC. It has potential educational benefits for the wider community of radiologists.
